The Hercules is one of the more interesting Manley popcorn machine models.
Obviously it was designed for large venues that needed a large popcorn popper.
It is similar to the Twin Model (see M-Line page)
in terms of size and popcorn production. Both the Hercules and Twin popcorn
machines are basically the size of two machine. The Twin popcorn machine
actually used two separate kettles, while the Hercules used only one large
cascade popcorn kettle. The other major difference between these two machines is
that the Twin model used the M-Line cabinet, while the Hercules uses Manley's
model 32 Aristocrat cabinet.
The August 7, 1954 Billboard Magazine has an announcement from Manley,
Inc. describing the introduction of an enclosed
Super Stadium. Looking at the
Hercules you can see that the base is a Super Stadium model with the same
top as the Manley Twin (found on the M-Line
Page).
